Ashley Cole, £8.1m Enjoying a spectacular season at Stamford Bridge. |
- Sure starter
- Adventurous in attack
- Bonus magnet
Cons:
- Expensive
- Indifferent to your competitors
Yuri Zhirkov, £6.2m Enjoying more playing time recently. |
Pros:
- More and more playing time.
- Has been decent in attack all the while when he's playing.
- Proven in Champions League Fantasy.
Cons:
- Incredibly cheap for a Chelsea defender who can surge forward.
- Fantasy proven two years before.
Cons:
- Might be struggling to find his form.
- Might need to compete with Ivanovic when Alex recovers.
Personally I will pick Ashley Cole if I have the cash; otherwise I will stick with Bosingwa. How about you?
I am just confused , why are you thinking about zhirkov or bosingwa. They both are not sure starters.Instead you should think about Petr Cech.He is 6.6 and will going to start each and every game.He does make saves too.
ReplyDeleteBosingwa is not a good pick because next week there will be 4 players fighting for 2 positions - Bosingwa, Ivanovic , Alex , Ferreira for Right back and Center Back.
JT , A.Cole and Cech are sure starters out of which P.Cech price is 6.6 - i think you should think about him rather then risky players
I personally won't invest heavily on keepers since expensive keeper rely on CS all the time for good score. And since in general we won't captain GK so i don't think is valuable.
ReplyDeleteLet's just compare Cech vs Robinson and Cech vs Foster
Cech is 46% more expensive than Robinson but only score 30% more points than him.
Cech is 37.5% more expensive than Foster and score 37.5% more than him.
As you see, I can do much more if i fork out the extra 1-2m to on-field players.
Of course both Zhirkov and Bosingwa are not sure starters, but Zhirkov has been doing well recently and with Chelsea's 4-3-3, he is the best man to link A Cole and Malouda atm. As for Bosingwa, he can become A Cole on the right as time passes and the odds of him dropping out of starting XI is only 1/3 (since Ferreira will never start as long as the other three is fit).
As comparing Ivanovic and Bosingwa I will stick on the latter since he has more attacking edge which solves Chelsea rather weak right side offence.
