Prince of Persia Overkilled Chelsea

He crushed Stamford Bridge with his own feet.

8 goals were recorded at Stamford Bridge as Van Persie claimed the match ball in Chelsea's humiliating defeat. Some points worth noting:

• Van Persie's hat-trick. Simply at a different level. The best striker in the world with unbeatable form. Christiano Ronaldo-esque in fantasy as mentioned before. See his third goal of the game, you'll be left stunned. Surely clubs which aim for him will need to fork out at least £60-70m if Fernando Torres worth £50m.
• On the other side we saw Mata who performed his playmaker role to the very best. Precise cross for Lampard's opener. Freaking incredible long distance shoot which saw him evade both Song's tackle and Szczesny's hands. Stylish. Pure class.
• Walcott's speed had maximum utilisation in this game where Chelsea's defensive line was highly pressed up. A power shot which saw Arsenal led for the first time in the game. Good job but his volatility will scare fantasy managers away.
• Defensively both sides were terrible, although Chelsea's defence is pretty much useless compared to Arsenal's. Walcott running like no one's guarding him for the third goal, Van Persie's hat-trick was due to Terry's ridiculous slip... Just sell Bosingwa and any other Chelsea's defenders.
• Gervinho is forming an incredible partnership with captain RvP. His unselfishness for Arsenal's first goal deserves a big applause.

Surely now the league will slowly become a two-horse race between the Manchesters, and the last two tickets to Champions League will be wide open with Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle all aiming for the hot seats.

Gameweek 22 Fantasy Preview

Drogba v Terry
Both clashed as the former contributed one goal and one assist but the latter  leaked three goals.

Chelsea once again disappoint us with a 3-3 draw against out of form Aston Villa. Once a leader, Chelsea now sit on fifth, behind Tottenham Hotspur after their derby rival secured a 1-0 win against Fulham.

On the other hand, two fantasy stars missed a penalty each this week - Tevez and Odemwingie - and I owned them both! Such a catastrophe for me since December as each and every transfer I made were disastrous. This was further worsen by Kolarov - who played 58 minutes when Man City got a clean sheet!

Finally, congratulations to Rooney - who scored his first goal from open play after so many months. But now, lets have an overview for the next gameweek...

PART I: PRE-MATCH ANALYSES

Arsenal v Man City
Manchester Blues are set to revenge after a humiliating defeat at home earlier this season.

This time the showdown will be much more exciting as both teams are on red hot form. The Manchester side collected 15 points from their last six games, with the London side two points less.

Compact fixtures is not a problem for both sides as they have ample talents to substitute. Arsenal have all their attackers on fire including Walcott, Arshavin, Bendtner, Van Persie, Nasri, Song, and most importantly, captain Cesc. The skipper scored 23 fantasy points from the last two games he had played. A good lead by example.

However City is by no means weaker than Arsenal. Silva has been very influential nowadays, playing a role similar to Modric at Tottenham despite lacking statistical returns. Meanwhile, Balotelli's outstanding form is a constant threat for Tevez - which will motivate the latter to give more effort on the pitch. Not to be forgotten are City's defensive midfielders who will not hesitate to play ugly tackles for the sake of victory.

A draw will not help both sides so this match should have a winner. I will lean towards the away side, as the Gunners usually fear brutal midfielders and City has a good record at away.

Prediction: Arsenal 2-3 Man City

• Blackpool v Birmingham (2-2) - Tight and close as Birmingham strive to get away from bottom three.
• Fulham v West Brom (1-1) - Fulham is still lack of defensive resolution so I think the Baggies will sneak away with a result.
• Man Utd v Stoke City (2-0) - It's the Theatre of Dreams where United win all but one. Nani is expected to be ready for this game.
• Aston Villa v Sunderland (2-2) - Pretty unpredictable but it looks like Villans will once again get frustrated by another draw.
• Newcastle v West Ham (1-1) - Carroll might still be doubtful for this one so the Hammers has a strong chance to push themselves further away from relegation zone.
• Wolves v Chelsea (1-3) - With the attackers back on track, victory is expected for the Blues.
• Blackburn v Liverpool (3-3) - Steve Kean won't park the bus like Big Sam so expect big leakages for both sides.
• Bolton v Wigan (2-1) - N'Zogbia continues his suspension so put your chips on Elmander and co.
• Everton v Tottenham (1-3) - No more Tim Cahill, no more power.
• Blackpool v Liverpool* (1-2) - The Reds will like to pay a revenge against the Seasiders for both killing them at home and making their January fixtures ultimately compact.

Chelsea on Danger?

Injury could sideline him for months.

Chelsea could be now in a deep, deep trouble with the injuries sustained by its two main centre back - Terry and Alex. The former is out for an unknown period - maybe weeks or months - while the latter has confirmed to out for six to eight weeks.

This means that Chelsea can only continue their games with one natural centre back - Ivanovic. I highly doubt Ferreira's ability to cover up that position.

A very good chance for Arsenal and Man Utd to steal the title away.

UEFA Champions League Review

A good Champions League matchday for Premier League clubs with a 100% victory. Here are some highlights:

• Arsenal won 3-1. Arshavin was the key man of the night although he missed a penalty.
• Terry scored an important opener for Chelsea for a 2-0 victory. Anelka maintained his lethality in Champions League with the other goal.
• Super youth Javi Hernandez was the decisive man on Manchester's United encounter with Valencia with his only goal of the match five minutes from the clock. The partner for Berbatov while Rooney's absent?
• Van der Vaart had an memorable Champions League game - first a goal, then a penalty miss and a red card. Still Pavlyuchenko's double from the spot and Gareth Bale's strike ensured a 4-1 victory for the Spurs.
• Eto'o was the man of Inter with a perfect 10 performance to earn the Italian giant a 4-0 victory while Ibrahimovic saved AC Milan's ass from embarrassment in a 1-1 draw.
• Real Madrid only managed to win from substitute Angel Di Maria's goal. Barcelona, however, was unable to capitalise their possession advantage and was stuck in a 1-1 draw with Rubin Kazan.
